Sunderland are looking to bring in Oscar Mingueza as a free agent this summer. The Spain international is leaving Celta and can play as a right-back, centre-back, left wing-back, and right wing-back.
Mingueza has been followed by several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, Everton, and Aston Villa. Graeme Bailey reported that Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool were approached by intermediaries regarding a deal for Mingueza.
Sunderland have enquired about a possible deal for Mingueza, along with Atalanta and Como. The 27-year-old has earned four caps for Spain and is a versatile defender.
Sunderland have turned down an initial offer of £8million from Chelsea for Xhaka. The Black Cats are determined to keep hold of Xhaka, who is attracted by the possibility of returning to London and playing for Chelsea.
