Sunderland AFC fans have a new reason to visit the city center with the opening of the new club shop at The Bridges. Officially launched on June 12, the store promises a fresh shopping experience for supporters and visitors alike. The opening was celebrated by Sunderland legend Gary Bennett MBE and the club mascots, Samson and Delilah. This new shop complements Sunderland's flagship store at the Stadium of Light and features a variety of merchandise, including the recently launched Hummel training wear collection. More product ranges, including home, away, and third kits, are expected to be released throughout the summer. The following day, June 13, saw further celebrations with giveaways and mascot appearances. Karen Eve, center director at The Bridges, expressed excitement about the new store, highlighting its importance for fans who are still celebrating the team's recent achievements. Terry Stephenson, head of marketing at Sunderland AFC, emphasized the club's commitment to being accessible to supporters. The store marks Sunderland's permanent return to The Bridges since 2018, following successful festive pop-up stores in the area. Pamela Morrow, director of retail stores at Fanatics, shared her enthusiasm for enhancing the retail experience for Sunderland fans. The new store operates Monday to Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sundays from 10am to 4pm.
